Dr. Lopez’s presentation was on “The Prevalence and Cause of Non-Contact Injury Mechanisms in U.S. Men’s Rugby-7s”, while Dr. Ma focused on “The Incidence and Nature of Non-Contact Injuries in U.S. Women’s Rugby-7s”. Both wanted to advance their endeavors in understanding and helping the U.S. cohort of developing rugby players.
The annual International Conference on Biomechanics in Sport allows for the presentation of academic research in Sport Biomechanics. The society itself is filled with members from all over the globe, with a common desire to understand the relation between human movement and its applications to sport biomechanics.
